About the Course

This course aims to provide learners with a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between different fractions and the connection between fractions and decimals. The curriculum covers various topics, including the representation of fractions with denominators of 10 or 100 using decimal notation, including mixed numbers and fractions greater than 1. Additionally, learners will learn how to represent decimals using fractional notation with denominators of 10 or 100.


The instruction in this course places a strong emphasis on conceptual understanding. Learners will be encouraged to utilize manipulatives, visual models, number lines, and equations to deepen their understanding of the concepts. By engaging with these different tools and approaches, learners will develop a solid foundation in their understanding of fractions and decimals.
